Service Description

This skipper training starts and ends in Ortigia, Sicily. In addition to culinary highlights, Sicily offers a varied area with beautiful bays and beaches. Possible destinations are Catania, the Strait of Messina, the Aeolian Islands or Marzamami, Marina di Ragusa and Malta. On board Lady Iga, training takes place in a premium ambience with a small crew. There are 2 double cabins available. The crew is therefore limited to a maximum of 4 participants. Program points for the week: - Check in and take over the yacht - Organize provisions - Conduct safety briefing - Route planning - Discuss emergency roles - Mooring/casting off with the stern to the jetty (mooring line/anchor) depending on the area of operation - Mooring/casting off sideways - Turning in a tight space - Perfecting sailing maneuvers - Tacking/jibing/heaving to - Reefing/unreefing - MOB maneuvers (quick stop, Q-turn, Munich maneuver, etc.) - Rescuing people with aids - Anchoring maneuvers - Mooring at buoys - Practice single-handed techniques for all maneuvers - Sailing with an emergency tiller - Sailing "blind" © - Keep a logbook - Route planning with and without electronic aids Training costs per week: 990€ in a double cabin, double cabin for single use 1490€ Additional costs: Onboard cash box for provisions, marina fees, gas, diesel, restaurant visits and final cleaning.
