Sailing and the sea have been my great passion since I was young. After more than 25 years in the automotive industry in various management functions all over the world, I decided to turn my passion into a career and founded Aquila Sailing. As the name suggests, it's all about sailing and sailing yachts.
We have organized our services into three subject areas:
Consulting, survey reports and sailing training.
Aquila Sailing's approach to purchasing advice and appraisal work differs from most experts on the market in that we have a strong focus on sailing practice and spend around 50% of our time on the water with boats. This means that our practical experience is automatically incorporated into all projects.
Depending on the task, Aquila Sailing works with a network of highly professional specialists and experts and ensures premium quality in all services and products. The satisfaction of our customers is our top priority.
I am a qualified engineer. for electrical engineering and information technology and a graduate industrial engineer from the Technical University of Munich. My qualification as an expert for "damage and assessment of boats and yachts" was certified by TÜV Rheinland (certificate number 3485725).
I have also had the SBF See and BR license as well as the SSS license and RYA Yachtmaster Offshore since 1999. I have already sailed over 30,000 nautical miles and am a member of the Royal Yachting Association and Trans-Ocean Club.
When I'm not on the sailboat, I'm either riding a motorcycle or skiing in the winter.
We need you!
For the sailing season, we are constantly looking for motivated skippers who are interested in leading SKS and SSS training trips at Aquila Sailing.
For this purpose, there will be regular skipper training weeks, during which we will train you in our successfully tested training methodology. The prerequisite is SKS/SSS/SHS or an equivalent license such as Yachtmaster Offshore, Yachtmaster Ocean and SRC radio license.
Aquila Sailing offers practical sailing training for SBF See, SKS, SSS, the Austrian FB2 and FB3 as well as the Swiss offshore license.
